…Is a gift.

Simply put, offer your customers a gift of some valuable content. A large number of sales pitches get abandoned because they take too long to offer the customer some valuable reason to stick with you. For example, a site focused on weight loss & dieting could offer a free ebook about what the best diet pills are and which ones are better left alone.

By offering your customers a gift. By giving your customers a free report or ebook with legitimate, valueable information related to your product you are accomplishing two things.

By doing this you’ve shown them that you’re willing to give them something free that they’ll consider valuable and useful.

This helps build trust and confidence in you, increasing the chance that they’ll convert to paying customers on the sales page, their confidence built up by your show of good faith with something useful given away free.

The information you’re giving away costs you very little to gather together and compile into an ebook but to the customer it counts as a huge added value. Especially if you make it a point to tell them that what you’re giving them is valued at $47 (or some other reasonable but not quite cheap price).

In the end you collect valuable marketing information people who sign up for your free resources. You also gain trust and authority with will increase your conversion rates.
