Simply put, always remember the main thing that your customer is after. For example, those of you reading this are my customers and what you’re after is knowledge of ways to increase your traffic, SERPs positions and ultimately, your conversion rates.

Simply put, offer your customers a gift of some valuable content. A large number of sales pitches get abandoned because they take too long to offer the customer some valuable reason to stick with you. For example, a site focused on weight loss & dieting could offer a free ebook about what the best diet pills are and which ones are better left alone.

I’m talking about links of course, the ones on your site. They have blue as a default color for a very good reason. The exact reason why blue was originally chosen to be the default color for links is no doubt lost in the history of the original Mosaic browser. Thankfully the only thing that you need to know is that people are used to blue links. That’s the color that they are used to more than any other.
