Deliver Details And Get More Sales

A really good way to annoy the snot out of your customers is to let them pay for something and then end the transaction without making it absolutely clear how they will be getting their product. When your customer has completed the transaction and paid for their new computer, Jaeger Lecoultre Master watch, stack of blank dvds or whatever, it’s important that you don’t leave them in the dark about how they’re going to get what they just shelled out hard cash for and how long it’s going to take.

When the transaction is done you have one last very important bit of information to deliver to them on the thank you page. How will they get their product? If they’re getting it by download then be sure to give them the download link or tell them to expect an email with the link it it. It’s also a good idea to tell them what email address to whitelist to keep it from being caught in their spam filters.

Then, when your autoresponder sends that confirmation email, include their login information, the download link if there is one and possibly an email attachment.

You also want to give them an idea of how long it’s going to take to get their product and how to contact you for help in the event it doesn’t get there in a timely fashion.
