Benefits of Green Tea

Green tea is supposed to be the “true” tea that has had a minimum of oxidation during the processing phase. Many experts believe the secret of green tea is that it’s rich in catechin polyphenols like epigallocatechin gallate or EGCG; this is an anti-oxidant that inhibits growth of cancer cells and kills cancer cells while not harming healthy tissues. Many also believe that the chemical compounds found in green tea have the effect of lowering LDL cholesterol levels and inhibiting abnormal blood clot formation.

Green tea can also be useful as a blood glucose regulator, because it slows down the rise in blood sugar levels after a meal. It accomplishes this by slowing down the action of the digestive enzyme amylase. This enzyme is important in the breakdown of carbohydrates that can easily cause blood sugar levels to skyrocket after a meal. Green tea could well be the missing factor for proper glucose management.

This special variety of tea offers many benefits. More so than any other type.

If you pay attention to labels you can easily buy a trendy fat burner that contains a good quantity of green tea in its formulation. There are lots of products that have good amounts of it, you just have to be sure to read the labels before buying.

Green tea is considered by many to be more advisable than drinking coffee or any other kind of tea. Some doctors even recommend green tea rather than coffee.

It’s said by many that the best green teas come from China since they’ve been making tea for hundreds of years. Some of the best green teas from china are Gunpowder, Young Hyson, Chunmee, and Lung Ching
