I am sure that the more astute readers will have noticed that several months ago the percentage of articles on the original main topics of this blog, Adwords, Adsense, Internet Marketing, PPC, and making money online in general, have become less and less frequent. In fact, lately, it’s become much more likely to see a story about how yet another resident of Nutjob Hills is doing yet another weird thing.
This is because, as a Christian who believes in honesty, I just can’t endorse the tactics that I see most people in these fields using. Also, I just can’t endorse products (usually ebooks and membership sites) that are little more than bait to get the buyer to spend even more money to buy even more “bait”
I believe that there is a righteous way to do business and succeed WITHOUT having to be deceptive or sell crap products that people don’t need. This goes especially for *MOST* ebooks about Internet Marketing, Adsense, PPC, CPA, and so on.
In the meantime, I hope you’ll enjoy the growing collection of vignettes about the adventures of a normal guy living in the (fictional??) city of “Nutjob Hills”. An example of which is Mr. Helpful’s last very unwanted appearance in my office.
You see, he’d heard that I have been using an electronic cigarette in an effort to cut back on smoking and maybe even eventually quit and of course he just HAD to come by with a four hundred page notebook just filled with all sorts of stuff about reasons and ways to quit smoking.
Never mind the fact that I’ve already decided to quit and I’ve also decided on the means that I’m going to use. I actually have a plan that involves using the e-cig more and more until I’m only using it and not buying real cigarettes anymore. Then I’ll just move to lower strength cartridges every few weeks until I can finally put it down and stop entirely.
But of course, Mr. Helpful can never get it that somebody can do something without his help, He’s just GOT to be right there with advice, and information that you either already know, don’t need or just plain don’t want to hear AGAIN.
