Changes In Language

May 30th, 2010 | Posted in Misc | Comments Off

It’s funny how language and the meanings of words can change. One example is the word “Fathead“. When I was a kid that word referred to somebody that wasn’t quite all there as in they were so much of a fathead that they would need cholesterol treatments injected directly into their brain because of the incredible amount of fat up there that was impeding their ability to think

But now, apparently, “Fathead” has new meanings and now you must interpret it in light of the context it’s used in. Fathead can now be a life size poster of a sports or action figure. It can be a hand rolled cigarette that’s really overloaded with whatever it is that the person in question chooses to smoke. I’ve even seen reference to a musician that uses the name “Fathead”.
