If you’ve done little or no Internet marketing then you probably shouldn’t try to develop your own product right away. It’s good idea to learn your way around Internet Marketing before jumping into creating a product and trying to sell it.

You need to learn where to find the niche markets with a problem you can offer a solution for. It’s a good idea to find your market first before deveping a product. It could be healthy grilling, website design, six fingered toe socks, literally anything is possible.

It’s surprising how easy it is to come up with that brilliant product idea . One that you just *know* is so amazing and by all rights SHOULD sell like mad. Then you sit dumbfounded when it just sits there.

How can you know for certain what product will sell? The answer is to study the market first. A good way to do this is to study search engine keyword trends. See what people are looking for. That will tell you where the likely buyers market is.

Once you spot a potential market, then it’s time to start building your website and doing some more market research by selling various affiliate products related to the market you’ve identified.

You drive traffic to the site and watch what people buy. If there’e no sales, then it’s time to change to a different affiliate product.

Once you start getting sales it’s then time to look into building a product that makes a better solution to the problem that market is buying solutions for.

If regardless of what you do, then that particular market isn’t a buyer’s market after all and it’s time to go back to the research stage and try again.

The trick is to recognize when the horse is dead and not beat it any further.
